"Chicago White Sox, 2005 American League Champions"
| |
Let's here it for the White Sox, they finally won the pennant. And I bet now that Shoeless Joe Jackson and Buck Weaver are looking down at them now and smiling at them in glee, along with Kid Gleason as well wishing that he could manage this club. Ozzie Guillen should be, and must be, the American League Manager of the Year. Without him, we would not be having a World Series now in the South Side. To think, the last time our beloved Sox were in the World Series, Alaska and Hawaii were the last 2 states to recieve statehood by the United States, 1959. And to think, the last time the neighbors of the North (The Cubs) have been to the World Series, the tail end of World War II, 1945. Go figure. They are a complete team, stockpiled with pitching, along with some big bats in Konerko, and Crede. But if they can get past the old Master, Roger Clemens, in the first game of the World Series, then, I will love their chances to eliminate an even bigger drought the the Red Sox conquered last year. There you have my opinion on our beloved Sox. Go Sox, and represent the American League as proudly as the Red Sox did last year. 1917 is a long, long overdue for Glory, Glory that must me sought by us, the Sox. |
